Vintage Mountain Climber's Wooden Ice Axes

These incredible vintage wooden handled mountain climbing tools are getting rarer everyday. In the photo from bottom to top, they are: a new 1970s virgin Cassin (Italy) 90mm, Fritsch (Swiss) 94mm, Stubai (Austria) 70mm, Camp 7 Interalp 90mm, and a Stubai (Austria) 85mm.

My wife just bought a Fritsch & Co. (Zermatt ice axe on e-bay. That brings her collection to about 20. Average price for a wooden handled ice axe is about $100. The price has not changed much in the past ten years.
