This memorial and sign are only a few yards off of the current PCT in a meadow at the first road after Cook and Green Pass. Max is still out there, and not forgotten. Max Paul died Oct 5, 1950.
max was going to meet my grandfather at his hunting cabin the night he was lost . my father and a lot of the locals from the horse creek area searched for him , i have some photos of max and my grandfather at reeves ranch
