Along Sedum Ridge is a piece of PNW logging history from a 100 years ago. These stumps are from trees cut down with crosscut saws by loggers that chopped the notches for the springboards that they stood on while pulling the big misery whips. This stump is almost 20 feet tall. Keep an eye out for them on Sedum Ridge; it's amazing that the new PCT goes right by this piece of history.
