I have an L327 in extremely good condition with a reflector that is like the 220 reflector but it does not have a handle. It appears to have never had a handle attached. I can send you photos if you give me an email address to send them to. I would like to know the approximate value of this lantern. Thanks, John

To whom it may concern; I recently came across a vintage Coleman Quick-Lite Lantern and it is stamped 7 11 which I am guessing is from November of 1927!!! From my research it is called the Farmer's Lantern. I have never seen one like this, it has a 4 inch wooden handle attached to the metal handle, looks to be original. Also has a US Patent May 13, 1919 stamped on the air tube along with a British Patent underneath the US Patent. I asked a Coleman representative to confirm if it is truely a Farmer's Lantern from November of 1927 but the representative was no help at all!!! If there is someone that may help me it will be greatly appreciated! I will send you photos as well. Thank you in advance! Novice collector, Edward

Hey Everyone, Been looking for a little advise regarding coleman lanterns and this seems to be the place for the answers. Cleaning out my fire departments station I came across a couple coleman 200 lanterns that i think are from 1950 unopened in their boxes in mint condition. I can't seem to find a way to identify their exact dates without taking them out of the box. If I remove them will that take away from their value? Thanks for any responses or references. Thank you. And also if anyone could give me an estimate of their value that would be much appreciated also. Thanks again. - Kirk

I am trying to id a lantern that I purchsaed as AL 427. It has nickle font 6 in dia,external pump,fuel cap has two ears to gripand screw in center,the band between font and base has three rows of holes throuh the center of band the holes are 1/8 in,mica glob 5x51/4 in,hand bail hooks at top of cage through holes then bent,double mantle,the generator is streight withtip cleaner,the ventoler is green with 4 rows of 1/4 in holes dia. 5 3/16 in. No marking on font side or bottom. No marking on band. Thanks.. Steve

Sir, Nice collection !! I came into a Prentiss Waber model No. L43PB. However it needs servicing. In good shape generally, but does not pressurize etc. Do you where I might get this repaired. I live near chicago. Thanks

I am looking for a new stove rather than pay for parts for my Coleman Apex Peak 1. I used to have an Optimus 111 and realize it was the best I ever had. Do you agree, or what would you recommend? I also just found out a Borde recently sold on eBay for $350 Canadian! Hope it was worth the money.

this is amazing, i am crying in fact. to see the Svea nested in the Sigg tourist cook kit is killing me because mine went missing a few years ago. my girlfriend can't understand why i have torn apart the garage 4 times now but i think you can understand. i see the Svea for sale on many sites and plan to reinvest for a cross country bike tour soon, but can anyone tell me where i can get the Sigg tourist kit these days??? is it still out there?? cheers to all the wonderful photos here. - chris

Hey Don, You sprinkle a little white gas on the jet assembly, You'll notice that there is a slight depression in the tank at the base of the valve stem. This is the priming pool. You'll want to get a little gas in it. Open the valve slightly, and light it. It will look very scary the few few times you do it. As the gas burns off it heats up and pressurizes the tank. You'll hear the jet start sputtering to life. As the pressure builds, adjust the valve to suit your needs. I love this stove, because when you are done, you close the valve, and it stops NOW. They also make an after market pump assembly that replaces the tank lid and allows you to pump it up like a Coleman. This makes it useful at altitude. Hope this helps. Good Luck. Kerfwappie
