ADZPCTKO = Annual Day Zero Pacific Crest Trail Kick Off, and this one in 2007 is #9. The Kickoff is a sharing of information and experience with the current PCT Year Class that is beginning their long months of adventure and spiritual testing along the 2668 miles of the PCT. In 1976, when I tried the trail, this gathering didn't exist, and it's spark and momentum came from the 1977 PCT Thruhikers who drove a couple to the trailhead in 1999. This began a new path without end, along an old trail.
