Don't know why you assume that 'as a guest' you shouldn't have the responsibility to consider one's feelings, but you're lucky, my feelings won't get hurt that easily.
I know I can do a lot with all available techniques, but I choosed for this particular photo not to use them and if the photo didn't turn out 'that good', well than I didn't take a good picture did I. For it's not the technique that makes a good photo. One can have a million dollar camera and still take shit photos you know.

as a guest with no responsibility to protect your feelings, i would comment briefly that not using available techniques to improve on a rather bland (but not uninteresting) snapshot is somewhat smelling of purism.
With some judicious use of psp, tastefully done, this adequate photo could become a photograph.
