Back at the house, after the 215-mile road trip, I unwrapped a little something I picked up in Laplace. Two pounds of the best andouille you will ever lay your eyes on. It came from Bailey’s Famous Andouille on Airline Drive. They smoke it for 6 hours and it’s very spicy. Can you say Gumbo? Oh, and while at Bailey’s we ordered a fried, Cajun-injected turkey to pick up on Christmas eve when we go back with the Usual Suspects to watch the lighting of the bonfires.
