I love Guatemalan fabric. I have two pieces like this sewn together to make a poncho. Mostly it greets me in the hallway at home, since there aren't many places I wear it. Not many people really welcome the vibrance of the colours, but, they are a joy and delight - akin to the Bach Ha ones. Prior to all the wars, internal and external, Afghanistan was also renowned in my mind for lively mixes. Truth to tell, all Central and south American countries have weaving which makes the heart sing.
