My old neighborhood! When we moved to Washington most of my clients lived out here. Most of my friends too. We lived on a little farm that I can see here and then spent a few more years in a cabin near the base of the spit. I have picked up a lot of trash as a volunteer with USF&W and been followed by seals while walking down the beach! One time I was trapped by the high tide and had to scramble from log to log to get back. It was the first time a saw a congregation of eagles watching over a deer carcass that had washed up on the beach. I even witnessed the last USCG lighthouse keeper leave their final time! His wife was heartbroken that they had to leave. It would be difficult to leave a place like this. A lot of memories of this special place. I usually don’t think of it unless I see a wonderful image of it, but I miss it!.Well done Long! BV
