A handsome bird. Interesting information about the importance of ravens.

Great close up!

Excellent, detailed closeup of this raven. I like that pose, too.

A gorgeous close-up. As for the facts- I'd second Martin's statement. The band is put on by the Ravenmaster who is apponited from the ranks of the Yeoman warders ( colloqially known as beefeaters). As far as I know their wings are clipped ( no chance of the Empire going down...) and they are fed and cared for

Pretty raven capture! I wonder if this bird was banded by the Tower or another group?

A fine capture, think this is actually one of the Towers Ravens, a protected bird.
Legend says that the kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six resident ravens ever leave the fortress.
It was Charles II, according to the stories, who first insisted that the ravens of the Tower should be protected.
A raven is part of the crow family

Dramatic and sort of threatening. I notice it is banded. I wonder why. "VV"
