Thanks for the compliment on my wasp image. I have since identified it as the Megarhyssa Wasp, one of the Ichneuman wasps. It is huge - the body measures more than 2" in length. The ovipositor is about 4" long. Amazing creature.
Danny - I just checked my forum and noticed your message. I looked at your macro images and they are wonderful! It's just a matter of practice, practice, practice until you learn what settings work best for you. You are certainly on the right track.
