The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo is currently displayed in a building built by the British colonial government in 1902 in Tahrir Square. A new building is currently under construction in Giza near The Sphinx and The Great Pyramid which will be used in addition to the 1902 building to display more of the 120,000 items in the Museum's collection.
