Our golden retriever Max has two passions in his life. One is swimming and the other is retrieving. And it doesn't get any better than when the two are combined. He will retrieve almost anything, but he has a special affinity for tennis balls. These shots are not really up to standards technically. They were taken late in the afternoon, just at sunset, and I really didn't have enough light for the f/3.5-6.3 Sigma lens I had with me. Also, it is pretty challenging to throw a tennis ball with one hand and then get ready to shoot freehand in the time it takes Max to jump into action, which isn't very long in case you can't tell from the photos.
