Jeff, That is very tall. We do not keep them if they are going to be taller than 14". The smaller the better. They are, after all, a hunting dog for fox and should be able to get into and out of a fox den on the Exmoor in the West Country. Nice gallery. L

Great gallery. Our Bruiser is a very tall Jack Russell Terrier at almost 16" at the top of the front shoulders (at 6 months). This would make him a tall Parson's Terrier with the US designation. Have you seen many JRT's this tall? http://www.pbase.com/jengle/bruisers

I'm a certified cat person, but Dusty stole my heart! Very difficult to get good pics of animals, you must be pretty patient. Thanks for sharing

love the actions shots, and mouse with broken leg, eddie seeking another way out, the rabbit.. i like the way you look at things, your eye for the unusual in the ordinary, and i love how i really feel like these are portraits, like there is a relationship going between you and them ... thanks for the gallery, denise

Hello John, These are Parson Jack Russell Terriers. Actually, we like to think of them as real Jack Russell Terriers, but that is more of an insider dog problem. They are great dogs: tough, loving, hard, gentle, very smart, pigheaded, and fun. We have a bunch, and right now behind me a new litter is on its way. interesting pictures. I should be getting my sd9 tomorrow (and the 28 f/1.8) -- can't wait. Question: what breed are those dogs? They seem to be of perfect size and temperment.
