Jiuzhaigou National Reserve spreads over 30,000 hectares and derives its name from the 9 stockaded villages of Tibetan origin....with its blue lakes, waterfalls, forests and mountains, it is deservedly described as a little paradise on earth and is a World Heritage site...with altitudes ranging from 2,000 to 4,300 metres, we were gluttons for punishment trekking the circuit after the previous day's efforts at Huang Long Peak! We did the reserve over two days and were glad that we stretched this "feast" for our senses in the beauty of the scenery that was there to behold..!!!
