A fortnight driving around the country...we were lured here by tales of the landscape and true enough, we were not disappointed! The land impressed with its greenery and lushness...the variety of landscapes from the stark eerie Burren to the rolling hills and mountains of the Wicklow Way but the seascapes were most spectacular! We had mixed weather during our visit...rainy days which explained the lushness of the country, mist and fog which softened the scenery and made for brooding and mysterious images...and bright sunny days which made for great panoramas!
The people are warm, friendly and open-hearted...unhurried and ever willing to help...with answers to questions, and directions readily given in detail!...Irish music is everywhere..it is a country to explore slowly, as we found out...and it will be a pleasure to return and to take our own advice...to tarry, enjoy the music and take pleasures unhurriedly...!!
