Huang Long Peak

Situated in the north of Sichuan province in China, Huang Long Peak is a national park area with lakes and waterfalls with travertine (calcium carbonate) formations that make for a particular beauty because of the myriad hues to the water. With altitudes ranging from 3,200 to 3,900 metres and a long trek of quite a few kilometres...we took some five hours to make the circuit...there was a fair bit of huffing and puffing...but we are glad we made it as it was well worth the (not inconsiderable!) efforts....!
Would we do the trip again? We'll answer that when we have got our breathe back..!!
