White Rim Trail: Miscellaneous

On this April 2006 trip, I drove to the White Rim Trail via Shafer Trail.

My reason for going here was to see the mesa of the Goose Neck from the west side,
in preparation for a long-planned hiking trip on the Goose Neck itself. I drove down the first
ten or so miles of the trail, turning around just short of Musselman Arch. I made
two stops along the way, each with its own gallery: the Colorado River Overlook and
the Goose Neck Viewpoint. It was a successful visit: I came, I saw, I was in awe.
