As I ate lunch next to Corona Arch, two young men wearing backpacks walked by, heading for the dead-end drop-off beyond the arch. About ten minutes later I heard voices coming from above and looked up to see the two men atop the arch. They had gone up some "steps" near the drop-off and walked over to the arch on a large, slanted ledge.

Shortly thereafter they tossed a rope down from the top. Then they rappeled down the rope one at a time. They and their companions then used the rope as a swing, as one would do with a rope hung from a tree branch over a pond. Truth is stranger than fiction.
