Triking: Ramp

A simple, inexpensive, home-made ramp for loading a trike into a mini-van.

The way it works is this:
1. Open the rear door of the mini-van.
2. Place the two ramp assemblies so that their upper
ends align with markers near the bumper. The assembly
with the pivoting spacer board goes on the driver's
side, with the pivot at the bottom.
3. Swing the pivoting spacer board clockwise and engage
it with the bottom end of the passenger-side assembly.
4. Align trike's front wheels with the ramp assemblies.
5. Lift the trike by its rack or seat frame and wheel
it up the ramp and into the car.
6. Nest one ramp assembly atop the other and store in the car.
7. Close rear door and go.

(But note: the mini-van's middle and rear row of seats
have been removed and a plywood floor installed.)
