You're all close but you're all wrong. No human could have possibly built this complex design. Not even the cooperamus putneyae. This is alien technology, Gents.
A star map.
In fact I believe the cooperamus putneyae has never allowed itself to be seen in any country other then England, while L. gigantatropis has been know to migrate as far as upstate New York. It occurs to me there might be another possibility: the very rare obsessiva compulsi has been know to leave such formations after a day at the beach.

Cooperamus Putneyae is an experienced agent and would never allow himself to be seen. He is here and everywhere. I can say no more.
I think it is a nest for the listoramus gigantatropis, a bipedal critter known known well in these parts. The species tends to strew bamboo sticks all over the place and has been caught napping on rocks quite frequently. The species also tends to be migratory, with its southern range being Utah. The critters are given to spasms of verbiage that no others can decipher, though some have tried. The latter would include the cooperamus putneyae which has never actually been observed in this part of the country.
