Snoqualmie Pass, Washington
Headed for Moab again. That shirt looks familiar.
This sedate photo belies a drama that took place the previous week. Six days earlier I had left for Utah, taking a new route so I could meet two PBasers in Oregon. After meeting them I continued south to the Oregon-California border, where my Nikon D100 died, forcing me to abort the trip.
But wait---there’s more!
The trip was not aborted, only postponed. Back home, I bought a D80 and started all over, this time going by my standard route. Thus this Snoqualmie Pass picture exists.
Joe Tripod, my assistant in the field, supported my camera for this picture, unfazed by the drama and familiar shirts.
