Pretty parking scene conceals a horror: no parking spaces

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah)

I arrived at the Delicate Arch Trailhead parking lot at 11 a.m. on a sunny, warm Sunday. BAD IDEA.
The main lot (pictured) was full. The overflow lot across the street had one space, sort of hidden
between two large RVs. I got it---with a vengeance. Cars kept arriving and cruising through the lots to no avail.

Nowhere to park is very common in England where SFB council planners have decided that any person who decides to drive a vehicle is the lowest form of life, personally responsible for the destruction of the universe. This decision is upheld by our NFB government who strangley enough all drive around in big polluting vehicles, which they are allowed to park anywhere they like.

Vote,, Edward Abbey wrote of this very thing happening. He called them Mollusk in a tin can wrapper. Few travel the trails or paths you do Dave. Great photo. The bummer is folks from a foreign country pay no more or less than you. ( We get no break for being a Part Time owner of this park which we also pay for with our taxes, but others folks for a different country don't pay taxes. ( No bennies for being a resident here.......)

This happens at the beaches here in RI all summer. But no one drives 800 miles to RI beaches (except, inexplicably, the Quebecois).
