First 100 feet (31m) of the Amasa Back Trail

Amasa Back Trail (Near Moab, Utah)

The start of the Amasa Back Trail is this series of rock steps. It provides challenges for mountain
bicyclists, Jeepers, motorcyclists, and ATV drivers going in either direction. I watched some
cyclists attempt repeatedly to ride up through these steps without stopping; no one made it.

Just above the steps is Kane Creek Road, which is the access route to here from Moab. At
upper left is a sign post holding this sign: http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/73644965 .

If I came upon this I would just shelve the whole trip.

I think it would be easy to achieve 20mph along the vertical axis, in places.

I imagine one doesn't get to go 20 mph very often on this trail!
