What's a Wal-Mart truck doing here?

Potash Road (near Moab, Utah)

The only business on Potash Road (Utah Highway 279) is Intrepid Potash---a heavy industry (mine)
at the south end of the road. Maybe Wal-Mart needed a load of potash for its automotive department.

Maybe it's full of illegal greeters?

I have been in a Wal-mart early morning when they had their pep rally thing going. There is absolutely no doubt that they are not from around here.

I understand they're bringing in Blue Subarus on Wall Mart Trucks...Even Joe Tripod says it's pretty slik

Dave, the knowledge that "evil Alien beings" are producing Wal-Mart goods is somehow comforting. I was under the illusion that the shoddy quality of some of its products was the fault of American or overseas manufacturers using cheap labor.

John, thank you for your insightful comment. I shudder to think that I was enjoying myself on vacation while evil Alien beings (the inter-galactic type) were masquerading as Wal-Mart employees and planning to take over the world.

Wal Mart trucks are everywhere. This one seems out of place to you, agent listorama, because of your keen sense of place and time. The average mortal would have said "another dang Wal Mart truck. These guys are taking over the world." Well, have you ever thought that since there is no Wal Mart store in the mine that just maybe there is a sinister reason for its presence here. (nudge nudge). Maybe someone other than a Wal Mart truck driver is in that cab. Maybe the truck contains more than just a shipment of Wayne Newton CDs. Know what I mean.

This is the point where the lower paid driver is to be used. Driving uphill is a higher scale.
