It's the solenoid, you jump it with a pair of pliers. Like my 71 LTD.

We determined that my Subaru's electrical system is too strong for this locomotive. A jump start would have fried the locomotive's wiring and ruined the traction motors. I didn't want that on my conscience.

Did you offer the Subaru Speed Wagon Trackside Service? One jump-start from the Speed Wagon and that guy would be riding in a Bullet Train!
