Railfans have a tough job: they have to sit around for hours to photograph a train. In remote areas this can be challenging, as Mother Nature usually doesn't provide comfortable seating. Thus the need for the folding camp chair. My car is a mile away; I had to carry the chair on my backpack to use it here. A juniper tree shades me from the blaring sun as I pass the time near the railroad tracks.

From this shady spot I photographed a train that was coming and going simultaneously.
