An enlarger that never found fulfillment under my ownership

I bought this Beseler 67CP enlarger in the early 1980s in anticipation of doing darkroom work at home: I had a huge backlog of black-and-white film (exposed in Germany) to develop. The darkroom never came to pass;
this fine object sat unused for more than 20 years.

Eventually I came to my senses and accepted the fact that I will never do darkroom work at home or anywhere else. With that decision hurdle behind me, I was able to allow this fine optical device to be adopted. It now lives in the proper type of home: the darkroom of Kris Frederick. At long last this fine tool can wallow in the aromas produced by developer, stop bath, and fixer.
Bye, bye Beseler.

I think it moved from 36 to 24 and then all the way up to 12.

Larry: what ranking, and for how long?

I think I saw this recently on the Beseler list.

Dan, is that what is meant by "a Kodak moment"?

When I was younger, I used to ask girls to come into my darkroom and see what developed...

Dave, this only works on photos.

Sorry you never got to have fun with this, Dave. It is sad.

I had a darkroom in my basement for many years. I enjoyed it but then I moved and just didn't have the energy to build another one. I've moved a couple times since then. My equipment now resides with a local high school. I'll say it too. Thank the Fates, and engineers, for digital and Photoshop.

I had the same dream of a home darkroom, but didn't get as far as you regarding equipment purchases. Dreams die hard, thank God for digital and Photoshop!

A sweet machine indeed. I used Besler's in school back in The Day.
