Logo and fuel tank

Near BNSF's South Seattle Yard

The capacity of fuel tanks on the latest models of diesel-electric locomotives is between 4000 and 5500 gallons (15,000 to 21,000 liters).

Garish compromise! Bring back the Great Northern Railway & Rocky. Fortunately railcars only see a coat of paint about every 50 years in this country so its still possible to see the goat in the Wenatchee yard from time to time.

Steve, I achieved this level of detail by stitching together 37 separate panoramic images. Why 37?---it's the prime number closest to the number of shots on a roll of Kodachrome slide film. I'm proud of the result, but if you look closely at the gas tank you can see one of the vertical stitching lines: a magnetic bubble rolled through my neighborhood while I worked on this and it temporarily altered the program's ability to hide the stitching borders. The bubble also made my eyebrows tingle for three days.

I think it's a great detail shot! - although I know it's digital, it looks like it was shot on Kodachrome . Nice colour Dave!

British Nuclear Fuels. They transport their deadly nuclear waste on trains, these trains pass very close to my house. BNF assure everybody that this is a safe way to move it. If you believe that, there are a lot of words to describe your mental condition. Some of them are quite rude.

What is bnf?

Any train logo with the letters BNF in it makes me feel bad. I am not voting for this one.
