Taking this picture was no picnic

Renton, Washington view map

At the south end of Lake Washington, east of the mouth of the Cedar River, the city of Renton has public recreational facilities: a boat house and a pier with boat docks and picnic benches.

My personal assistant, Joe Tripod, supported my camera. He did not pack a picnic lunch.

And as a former Boy Scout, Dave should always be prepared.

for a punctuated colon they recommend "Preparation H"

He was standing up for ,while you layed down .

No, this is not a periodic table---the only punctuation present was a colon.
1moremile04-Jan-2007 23:04
So, then, this is not a periodic table?
Dave Beedon24-Sep-2006 21:55
Ian, this is not a "new heights" effort at stargazing---that took place at about 7280 feet (2220m) above sea level near Chamonix, France in 1973. This scene is about 50 feet above sea level. I have found that the "right length for a table" varies and is the size that holds all the data I want to store. In this case, all of my data was adequately stored on the picnic table.

Obviously, taking stargazing to new heights.Hope you didn't feel fenced in during your experience.Did you have much trouble finding a table just the right length?

I remember seeing a burial at sea many tides ago on "Victory at Sea."

Looks like one of them burials at sea on "Navy Log" sound the boson's whistle!

That's why it was no picnic, Steve. Please inform the residents of our nation's capital thereof.
By the way, those blue jeans have since been downgraded to "yard work only" use.

No position--I'm not in the picture. But it is hard to take food or pictures lying down.
Dave Beedon10-Aug-2006 19:02
Steve, what position are you taking here? "Lying" is not in my vocabulary, but I tend to mis-speak, or so said my seventh-grade English teacher (Miss Peak).
Guest 10-Aug-2006 16:53
Maybe that was because the public was absent. I think you are lying, Dave, or prone to.
Guest 27-Jul-2006 03:29
I think he was "out-to lunch"

I do not reveal my innermost thoughts in a public forum such as this. However, I can say that my posture was an attempt to get rid of a flux headache that I got from remaining too long in a Level 3 magnetic anomaly near the boathouse. Staying there for "just one more shot" triggered a nasty pain in the brain brought on by the powerful flux. Here, outside of the anomaly, I found relief from a combination of a prone position, deep meditation, and the consumption of lots of [DELETED]. I was not regarded as a public nuisance.

Mr. Beedon, how did that make you feel?

It's only right that you sometimes, after a long days picture taking, take a well deserved break. A pillow would have helped. ;)
