What's this thing over the trail?

On a recent dog walk I encountered this fallen tree along the trail in a local
park. A combination of wet soil (from endless rain) and high wind caused the
tree to fall. Tippi inspects the tree; Jesse seems uninterested.

They look guilty, Dave. Wasn't that their favorite tree for relieving themselves? It fell from wet soil and endless rain, huh?
