These two memorials sit at the edge of a gravel "pit" that seemed to be abandoned or little used. The pit (actually a flat area hardly any lower than the surrounding terrain) is at the west end of Farrell Road.
The cross on the right had this inscription: "Charles M. P... [remainder faded away]." There was nothing visible on the left cross. The area had been used for target practice and both crosses were riddled with small pellets the size of BBs.
I discovered this site when I drove out to the end of Farrell Road just to see what was there.
