This is my turn-around point. It is one mile (1.6 km) in a straight line from the Horseshoe Bend viewpoint but I had to hike about 2.5 miles to get here. The viewpoint is on the canyon rim directly above my head.

There was a huge crowd at the viewpoint and now and then I could hear voices coming from the viewpoint.
