The heel of my Lowa Renegade boot separated at the end of a hike at Horseshoe Bend viewpoint. I had another pair of boots with me, so there was no interruption in my schedule.

I bought the boots in March 2006, so they lasted for eleven years. Photographed in Page, Arizona just before putting the boots in a trash can.
