I walked through this scene in 1971 when I was at Fort Monmouth, learning how to repair electronic crypto gear. My training took place in a secure building called "The Cage," which is visible at upper right. Nothing could be taken into or out of The Cage. Electronic theory bored me to tears but the training led to wonderful duty in Germany.
Fort Monmouth closed in September 2011.
