Police work

Have you ever watched a crime show on TV and seen a police technician "dusting for prints"? This is what the result looks like in real life. Our house was broken into while we were away and the police "dusted for prints." If you think the cabinet above is bad, you should have seen the white bathroom cabinet ! It took many baby wipes to clean up the black powder found in four rooms.

We know we lost a diamond ring and a Civil War sword,
maybe other stuff we cannot remember. Minor ransacking
in a few rooms. The fingerprint powder was the worst part of it.

Dave, was anything of value taken. But I know how its unsettling to be broken into. It happened to us and I think my wife didn't sleep until we sold and moved.

Hope the burglary wasn't too successful and that your losses were small. I know cleanup is a pain and that fingerprint powder goes everywhere. I would hope you have an alarm system installed ... if not then, then now.

Wow. I thought they used white powder for that.
