The Blue Castle Kid (sounds better than “Blue Castle Boy”) poses for a start-of-the-hike picture. This is near the end of the access road leading to Blue Castle Canyon. On the way to the canyon I hiked up Blue Castle, the grayish double-spire behind me. From there I followed the many twists and turns of the canyon wash for about three miles.
Of course, my photographic aide-de-camp, Joe Tripod, accompanied
me on this hike and stood very still for this photo.
Yes, the first paragraph has a blatant example of changing from
third-person text to first-person text. I was too lazy to fix it.
