UP5657 leads a short train through a cut near the mouth of Bootlegger Canyon, near Moab, Utah. Just around the bend, about 300 feet behind the front of the train, the track crosses the trail that leads to Corona Arch.

The train departed Potash about five minutes earlier and is headed for Grand Junction, Colorado. It was late leaving Potash because a brake problem took a while to correct.
