Crater Island, Utah (26 mi./ 42 km northeast of Wendover)
The cart’s handles and crossbar frame snowy Pilot Peak, which was a landmark for pioneers heading west through these parts. The crossbar---just a dowel---made pulling and the pushing the handcart more efficient and comfortable.
