The ascent to the summit was a walk-up except for a short easy scramble on rock steps.
At the summit I was treated to a stupendous 360-degree view even though the weather
was bleak. The summit cairn---a tiny finger in this view---is five feet (1.8m) tall.
In the lower left quadrant is a small pile of orangish rocks. That is the result
of a minor mining effort. Behind the pile is a vertical hole in the rock about
eight feet deep and five feet square. I have no idea how old the digging is.
