Habitat 67

Montréal

These were built by Moshe Safdie. The name refers to Expo 67. He conceived the idea at age 23 for his architectural thesis at McGill University. Habitat 67 comes to 12 floors of blocks that are super-imposed amongst each other. Each block being an actual apartment. Each block has a terrace on its roof as well. There is a total of 158 units. Many Quebecois celebrities have lived here through the years like "Dominique Michel". This architectural wonder still amazes the top architects of this day and age.
