This is a skittish forest endemic that prefers to inhabit the canopy or middle storey. Aside form being smallish (6-1/4" total length), its contrasting plumage is also very tough to expose well in the less-than-ideal light at its preferred habitat. The right equipment and technique, coupled with dogged persistence and luck, made possible this uncommon capture.

Wow!! Great capture! Saludo ako, pare! This goes with the Raquet-tailed Parrot as well.
