Habitat - Common from lowland to montane forest, the only true creeping Philippine bird.

I used the hand held 20D's on-board flash on this brilliantly colored endemic and it turned out not so badly. Funny, but when this bird is seen foraging in the understorey, its colors are not easily noticeable because of the low light. If the female of our species are this nicely colored, perhaps Avon and Revlon would go out of business..;-)
