January 13, 14, 2008 is my first gallery on New Year. Got myself a late Christmas gift of a new lens f/2.8 100 mm macro .
For my first event with new lens I took myself on a drive up the coast 200 mile's to Pismo Beach were Monarch Butterfly hang out for the winter in a eucalyptus grove. http://www.monarchbutterfly.org/ The rains the weekend before this made for outstanding weather and temps in upper 70's and so clear that I could see the channal island"s and oil platforms off the coast.
On the drive up I stopped off at the little arty community of Los Olivos. I wonted to photograph a courtyard that has some great art by a welder. http://www.phillipglashoff.com/home.html
