Seeing Tom Severin enjoys cooking out of dutch oven's and has done Peach Cobbler on some of his other event's, he came up with this crazy name for a trail run.
Tom invited Baja Annie and Brian to come along and show the group how to cook over campfire in dutch ovens.
With night time temps cold cold it was nice to sit by a big hot campfire ,as you need hot coles to cook out of dutch ovens.Over night temps were so cold that when I woke up at 6:15 that I saw 13 and had ice all over the inside windows of my jeep. Tom was up before the rest of use and said he saw 9. Sunday Tom put on a nice half day trail ride,were he found a sand bowl to teach how to drive and handle sand. " BIG BIG THANKS TO BAJA ANNIE & BRIAN FOR A GREAT JOB OF THE COOKING "

All that good food cooking in the dutch ovens looked so good!!! Nice pictures! Hard to believe that the desert gets that cold. Almost like being in Chicago without the snow. Love ya Joy

Hi Lion, As usual, loved your photos. You have a unique gift for combining a wide range of shots that really make someone feel like they were there. Could almost smell those dishes cooking in the dutch ovens. Really appreciated this gallery as we would have liked to have gone on the trip but rain and ongoing evacuations in the canyons are keeping us at home for now. Leslie
