In the UK our hedgerows are all bursting with berries at the moment - the humble sloe is early this year (as is everything else) so normally I'd be doing this in a month or so.

I thought you might like a recipe for the wonderful, fragrant sloe gin that slips down so nicely in front of a fire on a cold winter night. Imagine the scene - you come home from work, snuggle up to your loved one on the sofa and, before supper, sip a sloe gin!
