There’s not much that’s going well in our world today so the unexpected arrival of two little “highly sprung” boys and their Mum and Dad mid-afternoon was just the tonic we needed. We had an hour or so of leaping, running, jumping and playing with Fin and Greg while their Mum and Dad refereed.
Given that the rats’ nest is doing its best (again) to add to our woes, add to that the sick vectra-mobile that DM has been wrestling with for the last two days and not made any material difference to and my seemingly ever-deepening depression the light relief was so perfectly timed that I find it hard to imagine where we’d be right now if they’d not turned up and showed us how to smile for an hour.
I keep saying that sooner or later we’ll get a bit of good luck instead of more and more bad piled on top of bad…….the Royal College of Psychiatrists says “don’t stop hoping that things will get better” so that’s what I’m trying my best to do.
Last year, lichens were growing in our clean air - as they are today!
