OK Jeannius – here’s the next challenge and may I remind you that I’m 1-0 up at the moment!!!
I will post you a clue in an hour if you’ve not got it by then! Oh and I'll upload the song before bedtime!
This is a lesser-known Elvis number and one that I think is hugely underrated. I have always loved its seething passion and suggestion.
The Jeanne birthday challenge has really made a difference to my day-to-day life because I was soooooooo glum because of work difficulties that I couldn’t switch my mind to anything else. Then I hit on the idea of an Elvis week for Jeanne and I feel like a new woman. I’ve been excited about something (other than DM of course) for the first time in ages in the week – these days I get the vast majority of my pleasure in a few short hours over the weekend and there seems little to pick me up in the week. I suppose that’s the price I pay for selling my soul to the devil and becoming a corporate whore.
So, today? I’ve been out and had a lunch break – for the first time in about three months and I missed an important call from the USA to do it but too bad! I went shopping for props to fuel my ideas for my EC week – and it may turn out to be an EC month as I’ve got such a rich seam of ideas going here – I’ve already got the next three days lined up!
So thanks Jeanne – you’ve given me just the fillip I needed to dig myself out of terminal despondency!!!
no to the guesses so far.....here's the clue
it's an early-ish track - it WAS released as a single in the UK (I have a copy) but yet it's not even mentioned in the Guinness Book of Hit Singles - that means it didn't reach the top 100. Final bit of the clue is there is a guest vocalist who was half of one of the most prolific british songwriting partnerships of the 70s and 80s and sang in a band that had hits on both sides of this pond that divides us....
New clue...
it's quiet and loud all at once...and I'm going to post soon!
No to all guesses.... it's 'from a whisper to a scream'
