28th January 2004 - the contents of my chest?

No, not really but that’s what it feels like.

Still coughing, still wheezing and still as weak as a kitten.

This shot is actually bubble bath because apparently steam is really good for bad chests so I’ve been flumped in the bath trying to reap the benefit of some.

I hate being incapacitated – today I’ve watched way too much daytime TV for anyone’s sanity…..I’ve discovered UKFood is on a 3 hour loop so the Gary Rhodes that is on at 11am reappears at 2pm with all the same degree of certainty that you can count on with a bad penny. Not that I’ve anything against Gary Rhodes (well nothing that his being strapped into a chair and that silly hairdo removing wouldn’t cure). In fact, I think he’s a superb cook. BUT his show starts to pale on the second showing in a day.

I’ve also discovered that at 3pm it is impossible to find anything remotely interesting on the TV to fire up my imagination, even with however many hundreds of channels that Sky provide. My thoughts were if I’m too weak to DO anything, maybe I can find something to dream about doing when I’m feeling better. No chance of that.

My sister tells me that where she lives (Hemel Hempstead) she’s got loads of snow. It’s only 40 miles from here and we’d not had a flake until ½ hour ago when the heavens opened and it all came pouring down….in the pitch dark. She posted a message on my pic yesterday saying all I’d need to do was point my camera out of the window for a PotD today, which wouldn’t take any effort at all. Ha! Not so.

A few more days of feeling like this and I’ll be stir crazy.

Cool and beautiful ( reminds me of my early days of marriage - the days before we got our dishwasher and "had to" spend some time washing our dishes manually. I kinda miss those moments, as they gave us an opportunity to talk and discuss, since doing the dishes is kind of a "brainless" activity :-))

Cool. At first I thought they were ice cubes. New York has been submerged by snow, so that's all that's been on my mind. Argh. I wonder what's worst US Daytime TV or British Daytime TV?

Ahhhhh, that is exactly what I will do in the next few...a hot bubble bath filled with peppermint and lavender.

Sending warm wishes your way.

A bubble bath is an excellent idea - if you don't already use Lush, can I recommend them. They do a bubble bath called "hot toddy" which you sound in need of. I like the bubble picture very much, love how the bubbles reflect the light.

Sorry to hear the get-well vibes didn't do the business, I'll try again tonight, 8.00PM! LOL!! - Nice bubbles you have tho!

Don't I know how bad daytime TV is from my recent 'stay-at-home'! I prefer the radio anyway, but whilst that wasn't available, I just turned on VH-1 and used it as background music or eyed up the odd bit of talent!
Nearly forgot to say how fine this image is; its a fun piece. I tried a bubble covering a mug today but by the time I had got my camera it had collapsed:-(

Doesn't being sick with nothing to do just suck? Although the bubble bath seems like a nice idea. Hope your chest clears up soon! -- angela :)
