This stuff is amazing. It’s hand-made soap sent to us all the way from Bakersfield California and I treasure it. I guard it jealously and don’t let anyone else near it. Why? Well it’s the nicest stuff I’ve ever come across for keeping clean.

The photo is a completely inadequate attempt to demonstrate its dream-like quality but without being able to touch it and feel its silky texture or smell its delicate fragrance, the photo can never do it justice.

Pbase is ultimately responsible for this soap – it’s responsible for many friendships forged over the years, some that have been “made real” by physically meeting up with the people we talk to, others remain in the realms of cyber-space. The particular friendship from which this soap has come is that of DM and I with Todd and Cathi Thorpe. I can’t remember whether it was 2004 or 2005 that we stayed with Jeanne in San Francisco and met Todd, Cathi and several other Pbasers. Since that meeting, each year we get a parcel from Todd and Cathi containing these beautiful soaps. People are always scared of internet-instigated friendships but I am deeply thankful for those that have been made because of Pbase…and of course the big bonus of the soap!
